蔦屋重三郎グラス

蔦屋重三郎の出身地でドラマの舞台でもある、吉原遊郭の当時の店構えに見られる格子窓をモチーフに取り入れました。

組子障子の窓の中には「見返り柳」として有名な枝垂れ柳をカット。全体的に繊細なデザインのため、グラス下部には緑色のグラスと相性の良い市松模様を取り入れインパクトを出しました。

蔦重のロゴを正面に見てグラスを手に取ると、枝垂れ柳が背景となり吉原を駆け抜けた蔦重の姿が目に浮かぶようなデザインストーリーとなっています。

Inspired by the lattice windows commonly seen in the traditional facades of the Yoshiwara pleasure district—birthplace of Tsutaya Jūzaburō and the setting of many historical dramas—this piece incorporates their motif with refined elegance.

Within the kumiko latticework of the window, a gracefully cut silhouette of the weeping willow—famed as the Mikaeri Yanagi or “Willow of Retrospection”—adds a poetic touch. Given the overall delicacy of the design, a bold contrast is introduced through a checkered Ichimatsu pattern at the base of the glass, harmonizing beautifully with the green hue.

When the glass is held with the Tsutaju logo facing front, the weeping willow forms a backdrop, conjuring the image of Tsutaya himself, as if dashing through the spirited streets of old Yoshiwara—a design steeped in story and nostalgia.
